]]> The Hyundai Meta Plant is a massive, multi-building electric vehicle manufacturing facility. Due to an accelerated client schedule, the concrete portion of the assembly plant had to be completed in 8 months, while the BSA and module buildings took 9 months. Precision poured 56,000 cubic yards of concrete on the former building and 44,000 cubic yards on the latter two, delivering a carefully coordinated effort to hit the aggressive schedule without compromising quality or appearance.

Key Highlights

  • 100,000 CY of concrete and 4,400 tons of reinforcing steel.
  • 711 pile caps, 33,000 SF of 17′ pits and 1.3 million SF of steel fiber reinforced slabs.
  • 12,000 CY of excavation, waterproofing, and backfilling to dig 7 pits in 5 months.
  • Extensive dewatering work to cope with a 2′ below-grade water table.
  • Up to 8 on-site concrete batch plants to meet the accelerated work schedule.
  • Complex logistical work on a 3-mile, 8-building site (3 by Precision and 5 others).
